It’s day 142 of 365, friends!

And yes, I’m actually writing this from a real computer tonight instead of my iphone 😉

I hope everyone had a wonderful day. Mine was kind of crappy and uneventful. I woke up feeling like I had been hit by a small sized truck, not unlike my dad’s toyota. You know, body aches, headaches, all that…but without the full force of say the flu…I guess like mini flu. I’m feeling a lot better this evening, but I still have that headache. Boo. Hopefully it will be gone by the time I have to go to work in the morning.

I really wanted to clean and stuff today because I have a really hard time sitting still. Whenever I tried to do something though, I got really tired really fast. So all I really managed to do was the dishes, change the sheets, and I made dinner. The rest of my day was spent either watching tv or playing world of warcraft (you know, alternating sitting up and laying down). Being sick is really boring. And I also never did get sleepy enough to take a nap, which sucked. Hopefully that means that I’ll sleep well tonight though if I can breathe through my nose. Fred is looking at me right now like she is going to pounce on my keyboard. She just body slammed Scott’s feet…I don’t know what’s wrong with her, but she’s crazy right now. She’s getting up on Walter’s kennel at the foot of the bed and flying off onto Scott’s feet. It looks like a wrestling move, for sure.

Anyway, today’s photo is of a smush-face Kaylee cuddling with me on the couch. She’s super cute! Enjoy and I’ll see y’all tomorrow!

boredom at 3am at work…

hi. it’s day 140 of 365.

I don’t feel so good right now. my stomach is hurting and I’m all stopped up. I’m hoping really hard that I’m not coming down with the stomach bug that’s going around work. a cold I can deal with, but I loathe vomiting. so I’m going to try to get some sleep now. wish me luck and I’ll see y’all tomorrow!

vegan “mommy style” burgers!

It’s day 139 of 365, dear ones!!!

I’m currently 3+ hours into my 14 hour overnight shift. It was kind of crazy when I came in but it seems to have quieted down for now. I’ve got some more laundry to tend to, but I just wanted to post and say hi! Have a good night everyone and I’ll see y’all tomorrow!!

Cup #1!

It’s day 138 of 365, my loves.

I don’t really have a lot to share today. I worked 8 hours, came home, and then Scott and I went out to dinner at Yobo. Now we’re back home again. I have major hiccups…and I really wish they’d go away. I’ve had them for about half an hour now. Anyway, suprise random pic for today! Enjoy and I’ll see y’all tomorrow!!

My friend Leigh Ann's pup Reba or "Beba" as William says.

It’s day 137 of 365, friends and neighbors!

How did you spend this extraordinarily cold Saturday? Scott and I tried to stay in and stay warm for most of the day. I mega cleaned my desk and did some filing.  I also synced my google calendar to my iphone.  But then! We got hungry. So we went on an adventure. Scott and I drove to Beacon and found a cute little Thai place on Main St. The food was good and the atmosphere was nice. I enjoyed it a lot. I wanted to take pictures of the river, but it was just too darned cold! It looks like Beacon could be a new favorite place to eat though. I saw two other restaurants that claimed to be vegetarian friendly that I would like to try. There was also a cool looking arcade museum that we want to check out. Does anyone else know cool things to do or see in Beacon?

We also received belated Christmas gifts from Scott’s mom today! There are two nice wall hangings. One is for the “gathering room” and the other is a welcome sign with cats on it. I put the welcome sign over the entry way to the kitchen. You can see it when you come in the front door. I haven’t figured out where I want to put the other one yet, though. So, thanks for those, Momma B!

We took Shake downstairs to the bar with us when we got home and we let Yuna come in on a leash. He got so excited, he tried to fly down to her (Because Yuna is his favorite above all others), but Scott managed to get him to sit on his shoulder so he could see her better. He seemed content enough with that.

Now I’m just piddling around the office. I think I’m going to play some WoW after I let the dogs back in though. Today’s photos are 1) A picture I colored to go inside a “Make your own design” travel mug and 2) the inside of the Thai restaurant in Beacon. The restaurant picture isn’t so great, but I especially liked the exposed brick and the chandeliers. Enjoy, and I’ll see y’all tomorrow!!

I don’t even know. It’s day 136 of 365, boys and girls.

I think I’m a bit delirious and should probably put myself to bed. By the way, for those of you who follow my twitter or facebook and were wondering what it meant, a skin puppet is something  they use to feed baby birds with so the babies won’t imprint on humans. We were talking about it at work today…and then we just kept saying skin puppet because…well you know why.

And these aren’t skin puppets…these are finger puppets from South America. That is all. Goodnight and I’ll see y’all tomorrow!

It’s day 135 of 365, monkeys!

That’s right, I said hole in my shoe. A dog got mad at me today and bit my foot! Now there’s a hole in my shoe. But the rest of me is ok. Silly dogs.

I’m super duper tired today and I don’t know why. I came home from work this evening to find this (my photo of the day) as a belated Christmas present from my father in law and his wife! Thanks guys! I LOVE IT! Enjoy and I’ll see y’all tomorrow!

It’s day 134 of 365, y’all!

Hope everyone’s Wednesday was swell! I went to lunch with my friend Carol, and we had a good talk. Then I FINALLY picked up my comforter from the dry cleaner. I also went to Barnes and Noble. I discovered an awesome couple of bins where everything was only $2!!! I got an eco-notebook for myself, an “green” pet book for Scott, and a neat children’s book for William. I also bought him a copy of Maurice Sendak’s Chicken Soup With Rice, A Book of Months which was one of my favorite books as a small child.  I found out something very important today, too! Cafe Mochas with soymilk from Starbucks are Vegan!!! I had the barista check the ingredients of the chocolate they use. So that made me super happy! When I got home, I made pumpkin spice muffins with cranberries to take to Leigh Ann’s for dinner tonight, and then I sat down to relax for a few minutes! Finally, I went to Leigh Ann’s tonight for dinner. She made fried tofu, some really delicious vegetable gyoza with special sauce, and vegetable nabe! I have left overs to take for lunch at work tomorrow, too! Thanks so much for super delicious dinner and good company! And now, I’m going to sleep! I’m actually really tired. Hopefully I will not wake up with a certain cat trying to feed me her tail again…*ahemFREDahem*. Enjoy today’s photo and I’ll see y’all tomorrow!! Goodnight!

It’s day 133 of 365, little ones!

How did you spend your Tuesday? I spent mine being pretty busy…at least after I got up, which didn’t happen until almost 10 am. I did Yoga, cleaned my kitchen, swept my floors, took out all the trash and recycling, did laundry, ran to Walmart to pick up a couple of things, dyed my hair, made a super awesome dinner, and worked on a couple of chapters of medical math. ALMOST finished with it 🙂 Tomorrow, I’m planning on going over to Leigh Ann’s to play with William and have some girl time. Hopefully, they can come for dinner, too!

Anyway, I would really like some time to relax this evening, so I’m going to wrap this up with a picture of my Wal-mart deal I found today. A totally cute corduroy purse for $12!!! Enjoy, and I’ll see y’all tomorrow!
